Day of Prayer

On Thursday, we will open up the Chapel from 8AM - 8PM for anyone who would like to pray at the church. You can also pray during this time from wherever you are.

As Christians, the greatest weapon and the most powerful defense we have is prayer. Our country needs prayer in a critical way.

We need to pray for PEACE. “The anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.”

James 1:19,20
19 My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.

Proverbs 16:7
7 When a person’s ways please the LORD,
he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Pray for PERSPECTIVE and understanding.

James 3:17,18
17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.”

Pray for PATIENCE.

Proverbs 14:29
29 patient person shows great understanding,
but a quick-tempered one promotes foolishness.

Pray for freedom from ungodly JUDGEMENT.

Romans 2:1-3
Therefore, every one of you who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things. 2 We know that God’s judgment on those who do such things is based on the truth. 3 Do you really think — anyone of you who judges those who do such things yet do the same — that you will escape God’s judgment?

Pray for TRUTH.
Emotions are running high and many people are pushing conflicting narratives. Our leaders - and each one of us - need to make decisions not based on information intended to manipulate, but based on fact. The truth of God has the power to set captive souls free and God promises wisdom to those who sincerely seek it.

Psalm 89:14
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation
of your throne; faithful love and truth go before you.

Pray for the GOSPEL to advance.
These are times when people are asking, "What can I do to make a positive difference?" They know our world is broken and the violence is evidence. We possess the most powerful change agent available to mankind; the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ask God to give you an opportunity to share with your ONE as well as anyone else he may put into your life.

1 Thessalonians 2:8
We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.

If you choose to join us in the building, please refer to our recommendations and guidelines referring masks (which are optional) and social distancing. Read more here.
