Jersey is more than just a building; it is a group of men and women, boys and girls, who come together to worship God, grow in our knowledge of the Bible, develop meaningful relationships, get involved in ministry as we care for others and connect them to Jesus.

A mission statement reflects each church’s unique God given way of fulfilling the Great Commission. As we worked through the process of selecting a mission statement, we wanted to capture the uniqueness of our church and hold firm to the call of Jesus to reach people. We felt that the word “care” expressed the heart of who we are as a church. Jersey has a history of caring for each other and the world around us. We wanted to include the word care to remind us to remain true to the call of the Great Commission.

OUR VALUES

The values below are the motivational components of our church. Our values are a set of unchanging beliefs or principles that guide and govern our decisions. They are a springboard for daily action and provide us with filters as we make decisions. In short, our values capture the culture of our church.

As a body of believers at Jersey Baptist Church, we are seeking to be obedient to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Our faith is anchored in Jesus Christ and our understanding of God is derived from the Bible with our doctrinal beliefs clarified in The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention on June 14, 2000 .
