Reaching Our Neighbors and the Nations - Missions Month 2025

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR MATT

Dear Jersey Church Family,

As we look back at missions at Jersey this past year, we see God is continuing to use us both locally and around the world. As we step into our new vision to Reach 5,000, we are praying that His hand will move in powerful ways, changing lives, deepening faith, and sending us out to share the hope of Jesus. We have seen His faithfulness and trust that it will continue as He moves us forward.

God’s love has been on full display through our church family serving our community, partnering with ministries that meet real needs, and sharing the Gospel across the globe. His Kingdom has advanced through each act of compassion and service to our neighbors.

For many years, our mission was Caring For People and Connecting Them to Christ. That foundation of love and service prepared us for what’s next. Our new mission—to Glorify God in Reaching the Lost by Discipling the Believer and Sending Them Out to Begin Kingdom Movements—builds on that legacy with renewed purpose. Through Church Plants, International Missions, and Local Kingdom Movements, we will continue to be a sending church.

Looking ahead, I’m praying that even more of us will step out in faith. My hope is that 10% of our congregation will be called to go on short-term mission trips each year, living out this vision and carrying the love of Christ to our neighbors and the nations.

Let’s continue to pray faithfully, give generously, and go courageously, trusting that God will do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine, all for His glory and for His Kingdom.

Blessings to you all,
Pastor Matt

How do we reach our neighbors and the nations with the love of Christ? We can start by praying, giving and going.

PRAY

The mission of reaching the nations and those across the street with the Gospel is urgent. We can participate in the daily activities of church planters, missionaries, and our own personal sharing with our ones through fervent prayer.  Matthew 9 shows us the importance of praying...
Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” -Matthew 9:37-38

  • Pray that those who share will do so in clear and understandable ways.
  • Pray for opportunities for children to hear about Jesus. Ask the Father to protect them from harm and unhealthy environments.
  • Pray for house churches around the world to be established and for unity, vision and willingness to “be” church for one another.
  • Pray for the families of church planters across North America.
