The Disaster Response to those affected by Hurricane Helene has only just begun.

As floodwaters recede, we are just starting to see the devastation that has occurred as a result of Hurricane Helene. Many of our very own friends and family have been directly impacted by this storm.

WHAT CAN WE DO RIGHT NOW?

Devastation at this level is hard to comprehend, but we know our Father is faithful to hear our prayers for every need we take to Him. We can be praying now for those who lives have been changed by this storm, as well as for the safety of those living in the Southeast and for those who have already mobilized to go and help.

Give through Send Relief. Send Relief is the joint effort of the International Mission Board and North American Mission Board to respond to crisis and strengthen vulnerable communities around the world by meeting physical and spiritual needs in Jesus’ name. They are already at work coordinating disaster relief efforts throughout many of the affected areas in the Southeast.

In time, we will have the opportunity to go. Ohio Baptist Relief is currently working to mobilize teams to travel to the Southeast and aid in cleanup and relief efforts. Some of our members at Jersey have already trained with Ohio Baptist Relief, but they will also be offering field training for those with no experience.
