Local Kingdom Movement Testimony

Local Kingdom Movement Testimony

January 11, 2026

My name is Matt Hutchins; I attend Jersey Church and I am a Physical Therapist at a local hospital around Columbus. I frequently pray for God to use me to do His work for His glory in my Local Kingdom Movement. I had a patient on my caseload who I had
come to know and was critically ill at end of life. He was not on my caseload every day however he was scheduled with me on this day. When I was getting ready to go out and see my patients I felt like I needed to see this patient first for some reason. He had gone unresponsive the day before I saw him and, on this morning, he was awake and alert. When I got to his room, he was lethargic yet happy to see me and wanted to try to sit up, which was a lot of exercise for this man at this point in his journey. I was able to get him sitting up and while we were talking and I felt this nudge from the Holy Spirit clear as day to “ask him if he knew Jesus”. I had never felt or heard the Holy Spirit talking to me as clearly as He was at that moment, I did not listen immediately, and the Holy Spirit just kept nudging me. I have been trying to listen when God is pushing me in a particular direction, so I asked him if he knew Jesus. He said he did know Jesus.

So… I said to myself, he knows Jesus, we are good. But then pretty immediately I felt the Holy Spirit pushing me again, “ask him if he has been saved”. I did not immediately listen once again, but the Holy Spirit just kept pushing me to ask him. So, I listened. He said he had not been saved. I realized at this point that this is why the Holy Spirit brought me into this man’s room at the start of my day and was pushing me to ask these questions. Immediately I understood what I was supposed to do. I asked him if
he wanted to be saved and he said yes. We prayed right there together, and he asked Jesus into his heart and for forgiveness for his sins. He was tired shortly after and I helped him lie back down and get comfortable; he took my hand and just held it as he
quickly fell back to sleep. I do not know what has come of him since, but I am thankful that I listened during a brief window that this man may have had left to get saved and I am thankful to get to testify about how the Lord worked on both of us that day.
