Jim and his wife, Carol, have been members of Jersey since 2002 and live in Gahanna. Jim has served as an adult teacher at Jersey for most of those years. He has also served on the Constitution Committee, Finance Committee, and Building Committee for the Believe Campaign. Jim and Carol have three grown children, all married, and eight grandchildren. They are all faithful in their respective churches. Their daughter Kristin and her husband, Matt Soliday, are members here at Jersey and attend with their three children, Audrey, Will, and Wes. Jim received his engineering education and taught engineering at Purdue University where he received his PhD. In 1981, he left Purdue and spent the remainder of his career in industrial R&D focused on building science and performance of building materials and systems before retiring in 2016.
